I too have seen these thin-sliced sericho in clear coated plastic on ebay.
Are these real? Sound like a fake to me. Besides, the cost of these
specimens are cheaper than the "real" sericho specimens available on ebay.

If you see thin-sliced Sericho that is clear-coated on eBay, beware.
There are several (?) sellers on eBay offering nice-looking Sericho
pieces that allow light to pass through the crystals, and the
specimens have been clear-coated with an acrylic-type substance.
