Re: [meteorite-list] Edgar Mitchell, Moonwalker dies at 85

2016-02-06 Thread Galactic Stone & Ironworks via Meteorite-list
Sadly, the club of surviving Moonwalkers is getting shorter and shorter. :(

But, while we can mourn them, they have slipped the surly bonds of
Earth and now dance the heavens on laughter-silvered wings. :)

2016-02-06 Thread Tommy via Meteorite-list

Yes it's a sad thing. Kids today don't realize how much of a feet it
was to do what those guys did. And that over 400,000 people were
involved with making it happen. Those guys had balls of steel. I was
glued to the TV every time a rocket went up starting with the Gemini
missions as a little kid.

Sadly, young people today are more worried about stupid Facebook
posts. Makes me sick.

Regards!

Tom

I met him with a friend of mine's son, his son gave Edger a piece of the
Moon that
I had. I had the chance to ask Edger the big question, do you have any
of the Moon at home?

Is it the stuff your brought back from the Moon?

but I can't remember any of the answers, R.I.P.
