about 2 months ago, I found a URL for an opensource applet that runs
inside a std mobile phone, generating something like a securID token,
for authenticating remote access, without the need for the additional h/w.
of course, now my customer is interested in such a solution but i can't

Unix traceroutes by default use udp, if you want all-ICMP trace, use
the -I option. see eg

Hi,
I've been trying to recompile the system from source with no success.
I'd previously upgraded this machine from stock 4.1 to 4.1-stable
shortly after installing a few months ago, but I've fallen behind with
patching. It fails every time at the same spot, with the stock 4.1
source tree and
Looks like I solved my own problem. I must have had something set in my
profile that broke this. I logged into root directly and the build
worked. Thanks anyway.

I tried a bsd.rd from 8-9-2007 and it still hangs in the same spot, no
matter if I have acpi enabled or not.
I also Have a Areca ARC-1210 raid card, if i remove it then bsd.rd works
fine.
if I have a mp kernel as well as acpi enabled then it boots fine with the
areca card installed.
