BFD Status ?

Hello, I read Peter's presentation from BSDCan 2016 about BFD on OpenBSD. I could not find anything by googling. I looked at the codeand it seems to be there, albeit subjected to the BFD kernel option. Does it mean that the feature is not production ready yet ? How can I try it or help
