As far as i understood this function really checks the polygons around the poi
to check if the poi-coordinates are located within the polygon specified.
It can not check variables because they don't have an outline.

Builded a map with both default style and with my own style.
Both maps have the confusing problem
The default map askes for recalculation every time and does not finish. It
stays in loop.

For example Change: amsterdam into Amsterdam ?
Searching the string with subst function and regex mostly works fine.
Replace that search with a hardcoded or known stringvalue works fine
Split the value with substring i

I like to place the highway-oneway arrows-overlay at the other side of the road
if the highway is in a drive-left country?
I see the option for the args file but don't see how it could help me, I read

Hi,
For a long time I have seen a leading (space like?) character in front of $Ref
which is not there in the osm source.
Today I have been chasing the thing trying to finally solve my style-bug, but
now I get stuck thinking it looks like the highwayshield assignment is adding
it.

I think I would be quite easy to support '*' as a placeholder but a lot more
work to support regular expressions or style functions.

When testing against the exact value it works perfectly.
Is there a method for testing against building = * instead of building = yes ?

You can rename the *.img file to whatever you like and copy it to your garmin
SSD.

I know it is possible to use the -version option but this means an extra
execution of mkgmap.
