I need to use apache for SSL rather than the SSL in tomcat cause I need suppport for user certificates, which I believe tomcat does not offer I'm not sure thats true, have you looked at: http://xml.apache.org/soap/docs/install/FAQ_Tomcat_SOAP_SSL.html and the tomcat docs?
