This is my setup: Apache/1.3.12 (Unix) (Red Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.6.6 OpenSSL/0.9.5a Customers are complaining that they can't access secure pages. I see no pattern to the complaints (browser wise) and it works fine for me in IE and NS. They have a thawte cert. Here are some entries from the error_log: [Sun Nov 26 20:03:50 2000] [error] mod_ssl: SSL handshake failed (server www.reeffanatic.com:443, client 209.208.25.136) (OpenSSL li brary error follows) [Sun Nov 26 20:03:50 2000] [error] OpenSSL: error:140943F2:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:sslv3 alert unexpected message [Sun Nov 26 20:03:50 2000] [error] mod_ssl: SSL handshake failed (server www.reeffanatic.com:443, client 209.208.25.136) (OpenSSL li brary error follows) [Mon Nov 27 11:29:09 2000] [error] mod_ssl: SSL handshake interrupted by system [Hint: Stop button pressed in browser?!] (System err or follows) [Mon Nov 27 11:29:09 2000] [error] System: Connection reset by peer (errno: 104) Does anyone know why? They are not hitting the "STOP" button. I'm told you can get this error using AOL with IE 5.01. THe error message is: IE5.01 Error Message The page cannot be displayed The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. Anyone have any ideas? ______________________________________________________________________ Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) www.modssl.org User Support Mailing List [EMAIL PROTECTED] Automated List Manager [EMAIL PROTECTED]
