Marcus Thiesen's modules

2007-06-04 Thread Ovid
Hi all,

Per an email exchange with Marcus Thiesen, he has confirmed that he is no
longer maintaining his modules, he will be filing meta bug reports to all
modules stating this fact and he's given me permission to forward along the
following snippet:

 actually, getting the concrete question I guess the answer is no. I

 don't have enough spare time to work on my modules anymore. I think I

 have to orphane them somewhere publicly.

The affected modules are:

- CPANPLUS::Shell::Curses
- Curses::UI
- Curses::UI::Mousehandler::GPM
- GraphViz::ISA::Multi
- Text::Compare
- XML::OPML::SimpleGen
- XML::RSS::FromAtom

If anyone is interested in taking these over, that would be useful --
particularly Curses::UI, because I'm using right now :)

What's the procedure on this? I can never remember. The CPAN FAQ covers when
an author has been unresponsive
(http://www.cpan.org/misc/cpan-faq.html#How_maintain_module), but Marcus has
been quite helpful in explaining that he doesn't have the time for this.

Cheers,
Ovid

I think the basics is contained in the very page where you change
permissions of your PAUSE modules:
https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=share_perms (needs to
be logged in)

Marcus can pass primary maintainership to somebody else (while giving
it up at the same time) or make somebody else co-maintainer. I think
that's all it takes.

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but just curious if
anyone knows what's up with AnnoCPAN? The site has been returning a
mysql error message for some time now.

Anyone know he maintains that?
