Ron Erpelding, Butch Ukura and I just spotted what we believe is the Gull-billed Tern. We're on the Minnesota side of the lake and the bird was seen across the lake flying about mostly in South Dakota but briefly in Minnesota. We are going to try to get better looks from the South Dakota side.

Garrett Wee and I searched all around Salt Lake from 5:30-7:15 and could not find any Terns. There are hundreds of shorebirds. Notables included a single Willet on the SD side, a couple Sanderlings, many Wilson's Phalaropes, and a Dunlin. There were also many Eared Grebes. Join or Leave
