In addition to the Summer Tanager at Long Lake Park in Watonwan Co, which was
reported on Friday to mou-net, the Minn Birding Weekends (MBW) group found a
few other birds of note in these three counties this weekend, May 12-13-14.
In all, we recorded 145 species, with 118 of these in Watonwan
Got some nice photos as a cerulean warbler which made a brief stop at my
home in Mendota Heights this afternoon.

Another note from me today, as today was my first 100 species day at Rapids
Lake(101 including my early morning Common Nighthawk greeting me again).
Today's birds include 5 flycatcher species, 4 vireo species, all the expected
thrush species except Bluebird(no Bluebird yesterday too), 23
This morning I found a singing Connecticut Warbler among 11 warbler species
at Reservoir Woods Park in Roseville. The bird sang briefly around 9:15 in
the patch of woods to the west of the reservoir just north of Roselawn
Cemetery.
