Regarding potential local shorebird habitat, there's at least one portion
of Braun sod farms that has productive wet-mud areas. It's on the west side
of county 3, just 4.5 miles north of Northfield; 3 is closed due to road
work just north of the site, so it is best reached from the south, through
Barb and Denny Martin just found a pair of Blue Grosbeaks in Gibbon, Sibley
County. They were in the cemetery that is on the SW edge of town a few blocks
west of CR 2. This appears to be a first county record. They were not able to
relocate the Red Crossbills at the cemetery on the north
This is slightly off topic but as the MOU has spent a large amount of time and
energy in appropriately educating people at the fair, it seems relevant.
Has anyone else seen the large mural picture as part of the Washington county
exhibit in the Horticulture building ? The exhibit is ostensibly
