I'm watching a Townsend's Solitaire in McLeod County on 150th St about halfway between county 4 and MN 22. This is just north of Biscay. Flycatching and picking bugs from the road. Doesn't seem to be the greatest solitaire habitat but there is some buckthorn. Doug Kieser Hennepin County

Thursday's crane count at Sherburne NWR determined 8,339 sandhill cranes staging at night on the refuge. At sunrise and sunset, still the best place to be is the parking lot on County Road 70,
