For those that need another update the Phainopepla is still at the
abandon-old Beachway Motel and Cabins ( 5119 Old North Shore Drive Duluth
MN ) lot. Still calling, eating berries and fly catching. 4:18 pm --

I observed a goldfinch, yesterday and today (10/29 & 30), eating a
sunflower seed by holding it in its feet like a chickadee. A first foe me.

The Phainopepla is still present this morning at the same location. Observed at
approximately 9:40 AM.
