It is located at Minnehaha Falls Park on the east side of Minnehaha Creek a
short walk up from the river.

My husband and I saw a Leucistic Canada Goose fly over with its regular
colored mate while at Lake Rebecca on Friday. While the bird appeared white
compared to its mate, there were faint markings on the feathers so it was not
a
true albino and easily distinguishable from other native white
I spotted a Loggerhead Shrike on the power line along CR 85 between Hwy 55
and CR 46. This is just West of Hastings, MN. The bird was there around 3pm
today.

On the way to lunch we observed a Northern Shrike hunting at the corner of
122nd st and Morgan in Hastings. This is the portion of Hastings north of the
bridge in Washington County/Denmark Township. It was still in the area when we
drove by on the way back from lunch an hour later.

Birded Crex Meadows (Grantsburg, WI) for about four hours today. We saw 75
Rough-legged Hawks compared with only 17 Red-tailed Hawks, 7 Bald Eagles, 6
Northern Harriers and 4 Northern Shrikes. There are still MANY, MANY Sandhill
Cranes around. Very few ducks, some Trumpeter Swans and a
Birded both Schaar's Bluff and the Archery Trail section this morning with
friends.
The ONLY highlights at Schaar's Bluff were
Yellow-throated Vireo
Wood Thrush
and Black-throated Green Warbler
Otherwise it was fairly uneventful and I could have seen the same variety of
species in my back
My husband saw four grebes while he was fishing on the St. Croix River
(Minnesota side) tonight around 6:00 pm. They looked to him to be eared or
red-necked, but flew before he was able to get a close look at them.They were

1 mile north of Carpenter Nature Center and flew east. (They
