On the way to see the Buff-breasted and Baird's Sandpipers in NW Isanti County my wife and I found 7 American Golden Plovers in a wet field on the east side of CR 13 a little south of CR 62(373rd Ave NW). This road runs along the county line about 3 miles south of where the sandpipers have been. They were associating with an assemblage of Ring-billed Gulls.
