A flock of 11 American Pipits were feeding in a field near Assumption Lake in
rural Carver County this morning. Songbirds were fairly sparse. I did
find 11 warbler species including a Black-throated Green, but they were
scattered(all at Carver Park and a few species at other locations throughout
the county). Yellow Warblers were in several areas, though. Otherwise, birds
seen were similar to earlier in the week adding my first vireo of the year, a
Yellow-throated.
