Shorebirds are coming through in good total numbers and number of species in 
Western MN. A very short "windshield" stop at Salt Lake yesterday produced a 
nice group  including: Dowitcher, Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, Least, Semi-
palmated, Willson's Phalarope, and Ruddy Turnstone. The water levels are 
pretty high so it's really "duck heaven" but the mud flats on the west (South 
Dakota) side are the most productive. Many of the potholes in Lincoln, Lyon, 
Yellow Medicine, and Lac Qui Parle have at least a few shorebirds.

During a survey at Mound Spring SNA I found a "pair" of Loggerhead Shrikes. 
Hopefully they will set up housekeeping?
