There was a Great Crested Flycatcher singing this morn in the yard.
They have been using a nesting box for a few years here.
It stayed for a very short time.
The Cooper's and the Sharp-shinned Hawks have been regulars in the yard.

Hi all--
I've been spending July chasing and photographing dragonflies. I did come
upon a Great Crested Flycatcher that flew out of a small woodlot in Rice Co.
The bird plopped down in a grassy, treeless field and displayed anting
behavior. Photographs are on my blog:
I hadn't seen a posting yet in the Metro area for a Great-crested Flycatcher
so I thought I would note that one has been present and calling in my
backyard in southwest Bloomington. As an aside, I have been experiencing a
bumper crop of Baltimore Orioles hitting on my jelly feeder and have
