Despite the cold temperatures today we had a wonderful morning birding- 33
Species at our little holding pond in South Minneapolis:
Canada Goose 86
Wood Duck 2
Gadwall 4
American Wigeon 28
Mallard 125
Hooded Merganser 14
Ruddy Duck 1
Mourning
Found FOY Black and White, Orange Crowned and Common Yellowthroat Warblers
today. Also a probable Golden-Winged. Plus a couple LBJs I didn't recognize
and am in no postion to try to name. I also keep hearing a call that sounds
like a croaky, maybe slightly defective old fashioned steam
