I birdwatched at Canal Park this morning. Among the HERRING GULLS (no
Ring-billed Gulls observed this morning), I observed one juvenile GLAUCOUS
GULL, one adult THAYER'S GULL, and that probable ICELAND x THAYER'S GULL

I was at Vadnais Lake for about an hour Sunday,11/28/2010, prior to finding the
bird. Another birder showed up and as I walked back to my camera the solitaire
was on the ground drinking from a puddle of water. It flew up into the juniper
tree and we never saw it again.
In the last 2 days Bohemian Waxwings have been found in both Todd (about 1
mile north of Long Prairie yesterday) and Mille Lacs Counties (Onamia
today). I also know they were found in Morrison County a week or two ago.
