This evening there was a Buff-breasted Sandpiper in the fairway of
the #1 hole at the Two Harbors golf course. This is about a quarter
mile east of the clubhouse.
There was also a Baird's Sandpiper on the rocks in front of the
lighthouse at Agate Bay this afternoon.

As of 1:30 pm, the Yellow-billed Loon had not been seen today at
Agate Bay in Two Harbors. At least 20-30 birders searched
unsuccessfully throughout the morning, and viewing conditions were

There was a winter-plumaged Pacific Loon at Agate Bay in Two Harbors
this morning near the end of the western breakwall. I heard about
the bird second-hand through Jan Green - it apparently was present on
Thursday, too.

Matti Hakkila saw a light morph Parasitic Jaeger on Lake Superior
this evening (5/25), just west of the Lester River in Duluth. The
bird was seen chasing and stealing food from Ring-billed Gulls. It
eventually flew towards Park Point.

A birder visiting from the Netherlands found a Northern Mockingbird
at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park in Lake County on the 5th. The
bird was in a small field opposite the visitor center building.

A SUMMER TANAGER was found by Cindy and Chris Edwardson on the 16th at
31 East Arrowhead Road
This evening I saw a Great Gray Owl at the east end of the
Fairgrounds Road, 1 mile north of MN Highway 61 in Two Harbors. The
Fairgrounds Road runs east of CR 2 for a half mile and dead ends in a
small dirt road to a large grassy field (the old Two Harbors dump
site).
