3.1 is the latest version posted on the fhg web site, but does anyone know
if the encoder is still in development internally? i know of many companies
who dont always release the latest version of their software publicly on
their web site, you have to be a registered user to find out about
GOGO-no-coda ver 2.23 =VS= L.A.M.E. 3.34
Hello all,
We here @ ZLURP! have been playing will all sorts of encoders.
If you are not familiar with ZLURP! it's a ALL-IN-ONE ripper/encoder/tagger.
We are currently still using the L.A.M.E. DLL (Version 3.34) we complied,
(Were trying to port ZLURP! to
yay!
I'm not sure if they will be impressed or not...judging by the posts, they
seem to be more concerned with frequency response than speed. (altho they
do say when something speeds the algorithms up!)

A very new version is available as a plugin for 'Nero Burning Rom' cd burning program.
Price DEM 29 (released October 99).
Nero itself can sometimes also be obtained around the same street price or is included
w. CD burners.
The new FhG has fast, normal and slow mode and optional VBR.
Fast mode
you should seriously worry more about quality than speed

I'm still getting segfaults with lame 3.56... am I the only one who is

me...
It's a repeatable problem, seemingly dependent on the particular wav

Hi all,
The second path is a simple syntax error, the first is rather odd -
commenting out the preemphasis block causes the encoder to stick in the
outer loop on my small test track, even though preemphasis is not enabled -
!(notdone[0] || notdone[1]) never becomes true. This only happens with
No, Eric, you are not the only one!
lame -v fatboy.wav
with todays cvs lame gives me a segfault too,
in quantize_xrpow line 783 of quantize-pvt.c.
The code looks like:
for (j=192;j0;j--)
{
x = istep0 * *xr++;
/* *(ix++) = (int)( x + adj43[(int)x]); */

The crack by itself is legal software. It takes the Linux x86 free
version and removes the 30 second limit of the encoder.
May the source be with you.
