Windows GIMP distribution, instead of the ones mentioned in README.WINGTK,

I just compiled Lame3.34 with Visual C++ 6.0. When I ran it, it was

for a dll:GNU-INTL.DLL which wasn't included in the download. So, it will
not run until that is located!
