Greeting's List!
I would like to say Congrats to Brian Melendez. I know your heart and your
thoughts are with the DFL, and the inclusion of people from other cultures
into the DFL party. You are a hard worker and deserving of the party's top
position. WTG! My hat is off to you.

By the way, I was at the Democratic Convention and I, at no time, saw an
assault on Council Person Don Samuels, as you stated in your letter. That
is a
false statement to put out there.

From time to time, I analyze posting stats for the list. As we move toward
the city election, I thought it would be a good time to look again.
This is a very limited sample - 22 days in May (through Saturday). The
caveat is that events (DFL convention, Hodges/Samuels, etc.) can skew
results
For some reason, there seems to be some controversy about the vote counts

Brian Melendez 182.5 votes 39.4%
Dear Readers please accept my apology. I had said I thought the powers that

will continue to remain silent and vote my conscience. I

clarification.
Cleveland Neighborhood( where Michelle posts as her neighborhood) is not in the
current or the new 5th ward, so Michelle does not have to vote between Samuels
or Johnson-Lee.

Since I only sent my plans to two other people on this forum, I will tell
all. I am in the middle of purchasing a house in the Jordan neighborhood, which
will give me a vote by election time. However, I may just stay where I am,
until after elections where I have a great council person.

My understanding of the federal COPS program from the
Clinton administration is that cities were supposed to
get these new police officers with federal funding,
