As always, I deeply appreciate the time and commitment offered by Elizabeth
Wielinski, Scott Vreeland and others who attend Park Board meetings and report
on them. If I sat there, I wonder if I might have a seizure or otherwise run
screaming from the room.

accounting discrepancy.
The Park Board claims that its budget is around $50 million annually.
However, the City's Truth in Taxation budget shows Parks and Recreation
expenditures as nearly $80

I read the MPRB 2003 audit report and recall that some enterprise funds
were transferred to operations. Enterprise funds were mostly from golf
courses and those revenues were down.
Golf course revenues were pledged to back the $14 million in bonds at

At 5:00pm, the 2 finalists for superintendent will answer questions posed by
the public.
Once the questions are finished, the Park Board will finish its regular first
