Yeah I had thought to look for v_HS_ but I don’t actually see anything as interesting as it’s doing in that view.

Everything, and I mean everything, inventory wise is in the database. That is where Resource Explorer reads from! What you want is v_gs_<viewname> for current hardware inventory and v_hs_<viewname> for historical data. For that specific view, look for v_hs_add_remove_programs.
