Hi Daniel,
I have implemented this in our environment in almost exactly the same manner.
For my Windows 7 clients a reboot was needed after the Group Policy applied
before WUA would update (by inspecting windowsupdate.log) - the only update
that was downloaded was the WUA agent itself.
For my
I have generated a config.xml and turned off the:

getting all the Windows XP start menu shortcuts and folders
Thinking about this a little more, you could also modify the path to your xml
file removing the spaces. It may also be worth setting up an actual share with
appropriate access so you're not trying to reference an xml file sitting on a
hidden file share. (d$)

Hi John,
I've had similar problems but only a small percentage of failures say maybe
20-30 out of 1300 seats - and that number appears to be diminishing after
subsequent version deployments.
I initially had a similar problem moving from Flash 12 to 13. What I ended up
doing was building in an
I just noticed your other question about excluding the temp folder from user

I don't believe that anything is migrated from this folder normally, but I
think the scanstate still scans the contents of the folder. To confirm this you

Has he ever posted to this forum? Can't remember a time since I've been a

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone else noticed that when you apply 2012 R2 CU2, PXE breaks if you have
a custom RamDiskTFTBlockSize value of 8192 or higher? It gets stuck downloading
the Boot.sdi file and eventually errors out.
If you drop it back to 4096 and restart WDS, then it starts working again.

If Group Policy an option for you?

You could try installing the client using psexec? I’ve had some success with
this in the past on computers which wouldn’t upgrade from the 2007 R3 client to
the 2012 SP1 client.
Just open up a command prompt from your Config Mgr server and run the following

I have a friend who is currently working on a java uninstall its uses a wmic
query to call the uninstall command from wmi. If you think it might be useful I
can post it. From memory it uses a wildcard so you don't have to go trying to
find msi codes etc. It works it out for you.
Cheers

You can achieve this by locking down those fields with the UDI Wizard Designer
and then updating your MDT Files Package.
In the Domain Join Credentials area just set the User Name Text Box to Locked
and the Password Text Box to Locked.
