Hi Yesterday I was trying to connect my SCSI harddisk to my Gouda interface on my MSX2. After connecting, switching on the power of the harddisk, the interface reported: SCSI bus is down Host interface self-test failed and goes to BASIC. I guess this is caused by not connecting terminators?

When I wrote this, I tried it with the FM-PAC in slot 1. Now I got myself a slotexpander, so I put the FM-PAC in the slotexpander (slot 2-1 it was). Now Athler Wars 2 does NOT crash, but it totally ignores the FM-PAC! Other software works fine with the FM-PAC in both slots... HOW CAN THAT BE??

Any SCSI bus needs proper termination. One terminator at both end. Without any terminator most controllers will not work at all, because the hardware is designed to see the termination. For very short cables one terminator will sometimes work, but it is not recommended at all. The error you
