It would be really useful if our input line was completemented with
limited auto-expansion. Instead of having all your text scroll off as
you're typing more, it should grow bigger and wrap the text - so if you
typed two lines, you'd see the two lines.

1. So the graphical interface should do a +1 to reflect for that - so
the first pattern is 1, next is 2, etc.
