try running (make sure it's the correct paths):
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
doesn't gv any errors .

while also running Nagios 2. I can't remember the exact problem, but I
think it was somewhere in the Apache config I was using. Like maybe
that I using an inconsistent ServerName in the Apache configuration or

reasonably happy with it. Unfortunately, I now want to update to
nagios 3 for a number of reasons, but Nexsm doesn't support Nagios 3
and the developer says he probably won't have time to update it for a
while.
