Hi,
I am running Nagios 2.x , and have a question,
Lets say I have two hosts, one called host1 and host2, both of them have
a service check defined, call it http check , and its scheduled to run
every minute, Nagios will execute both tests at exactly the same second,
I can see this

I need to monitor the cpu temperature and fan speed of a number of

anyone of you ever found a way to do the same for Intel/Gigabyte servers?

Look for the service_inter_check_delay_method configuration option in
the documentation or in nagios.cfg (there are lots of comments). This
option is what controls how checks are spread out.

There were no config file changes. I've confirmed this by checking
mtimes on the files as you suggested.
The OS was not updated at this time. Postfix is not installed. It's
not MTA related.
The series of events were this.
1. It's working.
2. Build and install 2.12.
3. It's broken.

Hi,
I am running Nagios Server on RHEL 4 ES box and trying to install

./configure --prefix=/client/nagios throws the following error at the end

OK. For some reason, ndo2db is giving errors in my /var/log/messages

I was able to fix this myself.

Thanks,

Hello list -
Is there a way to configure a service so that notifications for (for
instance) WARNINGs are sent out for one time period, but notifications
for CRITICAL events are sent out for a different time period?
The situation is that we monitor disk usage for a number of services,

So what is interesting is that if I'm getting these errors because of it

If event_broker_options=-1, that would appear to be the case from my

Yup... that event_broker_options=-1. I had forgot to send that to you.
All other INSERTS appear to be working and are selectable from the

I just installed ndoutils on mon Nagios v2.12 system and it appears to
be populating these fields correctly. I'll drop the database and
reimport to see if I can get it to work on 3.0.2.

OK. It looks like there must be a bug (I'm assuming) with ndoutils
1.4b7 and Nagios 3.0.2. It might be fixed with 3.0.3. I'll try to
upgrade to that shortly. But Nagios v2.12 + Ndoutils 1.4b7 appears to
work fine with Nagvis and populating the hostgroups and sevicesgroups.

Sure,
The problem was SSL handshake. what I did, on the remote solaris machine I
recompiled nrpe without the ssl support (./configure --help will tell you
how to do that). Once this is done, I executed the following command from
the nagios server

And guess what - they have their own mailinglists specially for PNP.
I would guess they read them more frequently than the nagios-users ;)
