Hi,
I'm facing a strange problem.
I have in my definitions services for which notifications are disabled :
I'm still running those services on all nodes because it gives me
indication something went wrong on all nodes.
I recently had to suppress notifications for all services of a
Hi,
I also have this, and think this is a bug.
I reported this already to the dev list, but don’t know if someone saw mu mail.
Still, since I suspected this had to do with string ending, I added the
following at the end of all my test scripts :
/usr/bin/printf \0
I did this because
Or : you may be running SElinux... In any way, nagios is happy if you
provide it with an already created pipe, which correct rights.
I've been getting hard time having nagios running on a SElinux server,
because at each beta/RC update file and directories permissions had to
be added again so that
Hi,
In my service dependency config file, I have this kind of thing :
define servicedependency{
hostgroup_name *,!NON_NRPE_NODES
service_description nrpe daemon

Hi,
I see in the online doc that services are now defined with
check_interval and retry_intervall . well, why not.
I have in my config files retry_check_interval and
normal_check_interval defined instead, and they seem to still work...
I'm wondering if there are other directives that were
Hi,
Is there really a i before the /usr/lib/... in your check_procs
command definition ?
Other question : is any other nrpe command working ?

Hi,
Yes. I mean : I have several lines of text printed in the service state
information CGI, and these lines were separate script output lines...
But for now, LONGSERVICEOUTPUT is completely not working in
notifications for me - I'm going too try beta7 very soon to see if this
is better...
Hi,
I'm currently using NRPE to monitor a few things, and it looks like I'm facing
a bug :
depending on the plugin output, the end of output is... strange. Some plugins
with lots of output behave correctly, others with just a few words are not OK
A typical output is like this one :

Hi,
Maybe a stupid question, but did you solve the problem ?
I upgraded to nagiosb6 beta and I still get no newlines in the service
notifications (host notifications are fine)... wondering if that's me or
something else.
Cheers

Hi,
Using nagios 3.0b5, I have the following notification command defined :
define command{
command_namenotify-by-email
command_line/usr/bin/printf check went wrong on host
$HOSTALIAS$\nService : $SERVICEDESC$\nCheck Command
:$SERVICECHECKCOMMAND$\nOutput summary
.
If your observation is true,
should Nagios have an internal default hostcheck command or some code
to deactivate hostchecks when no hostcheck command is entered?

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback about this... I was just testing on an ubuntu
7.04 box, and indeed there is no CPU load problem... I'll report this on
the devel mailing list, I fear there is indeed a bug somewhere :'(

Hi,
I'm trying to setup a nagios 3.0b3 server, and I configured it with only
one host, one check (ping).
I can successfully start nagios, but I have concerns about the server
cpu load : that's around 99% cpu usage all the time, on a P4 3GHz
machine...
Is there something I could do to
