I'm experimenting with using the Windows Messenger service (NOT MSN
Messenger) to send alerts. Basically Nagios calls smbclient -M
some_host, and a message pops up on some_host with whatever text I pipe

if the goal is to notify a windows user and you know the windows command to
do this,
Why not use NRPE or NC_NEt's runscript to run a script that preforms
thisaction as part of your notification command?
