Hi all. I have migrated nagios from an hp-ux to a linux system. All run correctly, but 4 checks via snmp give me following error: (No output!) Consider than if I run check_snmp manually I receive a correct answer, like: test OK - 16257 |

From my experience as a programmer, if you don't know why you're doing something, it's impossible to do it correctly. The example you've shown us is a zone file. It only returns the relevant part of the zone in answer to a query - so if a user requests, .the_domain they will get IN A

Problem Solved! The query it should be running is select count(ProductName) from Products where ProductID=1; however, nagios does not seem to like the ; at the end of the mysql query, so when I look at the config I see the following: $USER1$/check_mysql_query -q 'select count(ProductName) from

Hi list I've spent most of the last week googling for the solution to a problem we're having with Nagios 2.4. All of our checks work fine, apart from our one mysql_query check, which keeps returning No output! in Nagios. Even when I change the password to the wrong password, Nagios returns

Hi Brian Whenever I'd changed the configuration I always used "killall -HUP nagios." The machine does use the rc init scripts on bootup and shutdown. Several times I've kill'd the nagios process so absolutely nothing of nagios was running, removed all the state information from nagios/var,

Assuming you stop/started the service after modifying your hosts and services config files, is it possible you used the rc/init script? Have you killed the service (with the kill command) and then restarted it yet? I'd try that... I was under the impression that nagios will spawn more processes
