o parametro interval_length no arquivo nagios.cfg define a unidade
Alguem poderia me dar uma luz?

Marcelo,
Vc pode fazer isso de duas formas.
A primeira, eh usar o check_tcp e escutar a porta 3389.
A segunda, e usar o client nsclient no servidor windows, e usando check_nt

Hello folks,
I got Nagios-1.4.1 on Gentoo up and running using the fine documentation and
the template config files which I could easily edit to fit my needs.
But I ran into trouble with one single service:
I do:
server ~ # /usr/nagios/libexec/check_dhcp -v -s localhost -i eth0
DHCP socket: 3
Hi, with nagios-1.4,
Is it normal to see passive checks in the schedulling queue?
With nagios-2.4 it's not the same behaviour, it just shows the active
checks.
In 1.4.1, i am seeing passive checks at the schedulling queue, but the
column active checks shows all passive checks as disabled.

Greetings,
This may be an odd question, considering my title is Network Engineer -
but I'm the monitoring guy, and am going to setup a new instance of
nagios dedicated to the network side of things - so simple question,
what should I monitor as a general rule on each switch? Router?
Thanks.

I just upgraded our monitoring system from Nagios 1.2 to 2.4. After
doing this, I've noticed that hosts are now showing as Unreachable
rather than Down when they are not pingable. For each of these hosts, I
see UNREACHABLE for the Host Status and (No output!) for Status
Information.

Do the hosts showing Unreachable have a parent that's down?

Can anyone tell me if with Nagios v2, it's possible to have same host service dependencies ?
Also, are the hosts details stored in mysql or are the config files still required ?

I use a small device from here: http://www.sensorsoft.com/
It's inexpensive and I've never had a problem. Their customer service is
wonderful as well.
I'm only using a temperature probe, but
