o parametro interval_length no arquivo nagios.cfg define a unidade usada nas checagens, medida em segundos (60 significa 1 minuto) na sua definição de serviços (no meu caso é o arquivo Services.cfg) existe o parametro normal_check_interval, em que voce define o numero de unidades de intervalo
