Subject: Grandmother and Me: welcome to our project!

Hello friends,

This message is for all of you who would like to participate in the
"Grandmother and Me" project. Come join us! The main project webpage was
designed before KidSpace was developed. You can see it here:

http://www.kidlink.org/KIDPROJ/grandmother/

There are special topics for each month and here is our topic for September:

"Classes or individual students will introduce themselves to the other
participants. Share with others the word or words for "grandmother" in your
native language. Tell us what you call your grandmother and tell us what
makes her very special to you. What is the most important thing your
grandmother has taught you?"

-----------------------------

We'd like to know who is participating in our project. Would you please
send an introduction and tell us a little about yourself or your class?

There are many different ways we can address grandmothers. My little
granddaughter calls me "Granny" but maybe you call your grandmother by
another name. If English is not your language, please tell us the word for
grandmother in your language. Tell us what you call her.

Classes may have their own place in KidSpace to post student text and images.

http://65.42.153.210/kidspace/start.cfm?HoldNode=615

If you would like to participate but don't have a place in KidSpace yet,
please write to me and request one.

All the best,
Patti

scale degrees, stressed notes and interval sequences), with additional
indexes of names and theater works. Now in electronic format, the data
can be fully searched, not only for initial strings, but also for
internal words and melody sections."

I just thought I would share this if anyone is interested.

For several years I watched high school students struggle with the
Microsoft Word Resume templates. Unfortunately they are designed more
for professionals than high school students. I decided to create my own
and it has been a wonderful success. It is in a very basic table form.
It includes Objective, Experience, Accomplishments, Activities,
Interests, Education and References.

If this could be of use to your students I would be willing to share it
with you. It is in Microsoft Word 2000 format.
