Don't forget the special Social Studies forum set for 8 p.m. Eastern (5
p.m. Pacific) this Wednesday (May 22) in TAPPED IN
(http://www.tappedin.org). We'll be discussing resources and
information regarding an upcoming PBS series entitled, "The Rise and
Fall of Jim Crow", which is scheduled to air in Fall, 2002.

Joining us for this special forum session will be Dr. Ronald Davis of
California State University, Northridge, who served as lead historian on
the project, Tim Hallinan, CEO of Hallinan Consulting (the firm retained
by New York Life to develop the web site which accompanies the series),
and Kathy Honda, who is the education coordinator for the site.

The accompanying site for the series can be found at
http://jimcrowhistory.org. Contributors are also being sought to
develop lesson plans and evaluate web sites for the series.
(Contributors will be compensated.)

As always, TAPPED IN help desk personnel will be available to assist new
users. It's recommended that new users log in at least 10 minutes prior
to the start of the session for assistance.

Persons with questions or wanting more information are invited to e-mail
Michael Hutchison offlist.

Sincerely,

Michael Hutchison
