Hum...

I have looked for another snmpd.conf file and the only one is at /var/lib/snmpd.conf, and is a persistent file.

How do I know which file is snmpd reading to apply configuration?.

If you've removed the entry
      com2sec local   127.0.0.1/32    public

and the agent still responds to localhost requests,
then I'd suspect that the agent isn't actually reading the
snmpd.conf file that you expect.
