_______________________________ ANNOUNCING: Citizen Outreach Launches New Web Site Later today, we'll officially send out a Press Release announcing the launch of our new web site. But as loyal, trusted News & Views readers, I thought I'd give you a bit of an advanced peek, as well as a heads up on certain new features. Most importantly, the entire site you're about to look at was created by yours truly (a bona fide techno-troglodyte!) in a just a few hours time using Mark Montini's "Campaign Site Builder" program that I've been advertising for the last couple of months here in News and Views. This program is truly the best thing since sliced bread. I've now experienced it for myself. This software is easy to use and VERY inexpensive...especially considering the professional look and feel you get from it. If you are running a campaign or political organization and do not yet have a web site - or aren' t happy with the one you have - take a look at our new site and give serious consideration to using Campaign Site Builder. Heck, we went with the to-of-the-line premium "Cadillac" option and it's still only going to cost us less than $300 a year...and that includes hosting and a bunch of other stuff. Plus you can test drive your own site for 30 days...FREE. So there' s nothing to lose. Anyway, our new Citizen Outreach home page will be updated daily with the latest edition of News & Views. There's also a new page describing Citizen Outreach and our mission, a page listing some of the strategic advisors who are helping me build the organization, a page for "Brushfire Alerts," "Muth' s Truths" commentaries, copies of news releases, issue advocacy letters, training programs for activists and candidates, etc. NEW is an online "Survey Says!" e-polling page. Our first question asks what you think poses the greatest danger to the American family: gay marriage, divorce or unwed motherhood? Check it out and weigh in. Also new is an archive of our "Always Right" webcast interviews with elected leaders and policy experts. Using your Windows Media Player, you can access any past one-hour interview at the time and place of your choosing. Or as the tech-geeks say: 24/7. If you've been following the news in recent months, you've probably heard of MoveOn.org. It's a left-wing political organization that got started back in 1998 to help Bill Clinton during his impeachment. They've since evolved as the left's chief anti-war Bush-whackers, going so far as to nominate Howard Dean as their presidential standard-bearer in a recent online "primary" election. But these goofballs brag of having 1.4 million e-activists, so they're a force to be reckoned with. Our goal at Citizen Outreach is to be the sane, conservative alternative in online grassroots activism to MoveOn.org. And we're going to need your help to grow and prosper. Naturally, like all good non-profit organizations, we have a "Contribute" page. The work we do, especially the daily "News & Views" e-briefing, isn't possible without your generous voluntary support. So take a look at our new website, and if the mood strikes you, please take a stroll over to the Contribute page and kick in a shilling or two to help us keep the lights on. You can visit our new web site at: http://www.citizenoutreach.com _______________________________ Affordable Campaign Websites! Now you can get professional-looking campaign web sites for as little as $10 a month. That's right...just ten smackeroos a month. Who in the heck do these guys think they are? The NAACP? And if they wanted an American president to grovel in front of them, they should have asked when the Apologizer-In-Chief was still in office, 'cause that dog ain't gonna hunt with W in the saddle. _______________________________ Vile and Sadistic "Uday was notorious for kidnapping and raping beautiful women. And when Uday tired of his victims, he didn't discard them. He killed them. Maxim magazine recounted what happened to one coed Uday kidnapped: 'Ordering his guards to stop feeding his Dobermans for two weeks, he had the girl stripped, lathered with honey, and fed to the starving animals.' No wonder so many Iraqis were besides themselves with joy upon learning of their demise." - Columnist Jack Kelly _______________________________ The Un-Clinton Gets Job Done "This time I think the Americans are serious. Bush is not like Clinton. I think this is the end." - Uday Hussein's reported last words to Ala'a Makki, the former director of his television station, on April 6, 2003, Washington Times, 7/27/03 _______________________________ Harder If You're Stupid "Apparently believing there may still be uncertainty on where he stands, (Democrat presidential candidate Dick Gephardt) reminds his audience that 'George Bush is the worst president I have ever served with.' Try telling that to the Iraqi people, Dick. They sleep easier tonight because, thanks to George Bush, Uday and Qusay Hussein are in a place that makes the 130 degrees Fahrenheit in Baghdad feel like a summer breeze. "But Dick Gephardt isn't impressed. He wants us to know 'Foreign policy isn't a John Wayne movie, where we catch the bad guys [and] hoist a few cold ones.' Having brought the Duke into this, Candidate Dick needs to become fam iliar with one of John Wayne's more notable quotes: 'Life is hard. It's even harder if you're stupid.'" - Columnist Oliver North _______________________________ Unserious People "If you take their comments to their logical conclusion, they're essentially calling our commander in chief Benedict Arnold. Ridiculous as it sounds, the logical extension of the Democrat leadership's assertion is that President Bush is an international war criminal. If we are to take this nonsense seriously, that is how out of control the Democrats' rhetoric has become. The Democrats' accusations aren't meant to be taken seriously. Because they're unserious people." - House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas), Washington Times, 7/26/03 _______________________________ The Enemy Within "To many liberals, defeat for President Bush is more important than victory for the United States. If success in Iraq boosts Mr. Bush, then the mission in Iraq must fail." - Columnist Jack Kelly _______________________________ Undermining U.S. for Political Gain "Does anyone doubt our demonstration of resolve and power in Iraq is what has made other terrorist-supporting nations start to back off? Unfortunately, that effect is being rapidly eroded by politicians who know their only chance of winning the 2004 presidential election is by discrediting President Bush. But undermining American unity and resolve in the face of nuclear threats from North Korea is the height of irresponsibility." - Columnist Thomas Sowell _______________________________ Conservatives Are From Mars... Go to: http://chuckmuth.com/merchandise.htm _______________________________ Put Up or Shut Up "(I)f the United Nations has the expertise to quash rebellions and construct sound government institutions, why is that not on display in Liberia? Why is the U.N. pleading instead for American troops to assume responsibility for restoring law and order in that distressed corner of Africa? . . . Let the Europeans and Kofi Annan solve those crises before they demand to take the wheel in Iraq." - Columnist Clifford May _______________________________ Backboneless After initially snubbing the NAACP convention a week ago, three of the Democrat presidential wannabes (Gepahrdt, Kucinich and Lieberman) ending up crawling on their hands and knees begging for forgiveness after the organization's top dog declared them 'persona non grata' for not showing up. Which caused the Washington Times in an editorial on Sunday to question, "If Democratic presidential candidates do not have sufficiently strong backbones to stand up for themselves, how will they ever muster the courage to stand up against the likes of nuclear-aspiring Iranian ayatollahs and a saber-rattling North Korean dictator?" Darn good question. _______________________________ House OK's Cheap, Dangerous Drugs " The House began its summer recess yesterday after passing a flurry of legislation including a bill, over the administration's objections, that would allow Americans to import prescription drugs from other countries where they are sold cheaper. . . . Eighty-seven Republicans joined 155 Democrats and one independent in support of the bill, while 141 Republicans and 45 Democrats voted no." - Washington Times, 7/26/03 _______________________________ AWOL Dick Costs Dems Head Start Vote "A Republican bill giving states more control over the Head Start preschool program passed the House by one vote yesterday after two Democrats failed to participate, including Rep. Richard A. Gephardt who was campaigning in South Carolina. . . . Mr. Gephardt has missed 356 roll call votes since January, according to a running tally maintained by the Republican National Committee's Research Department." - Washington Times, 7/26/03 _______________________________ Why Not Just Charge Him with a Hate Crime? "The NFL served notice Friday that it is taking its commitment to diversity seriously, fining Detroit Lions president Matt Millen $200,000 for not interviewing any minority candidates before hiring coach Steve Mariucci. Commissioner Paul Tagliabue sent a letter to Millen informing him of the fine, the first levied under the league's diversity program." - Associated Press, 7/25/03 _______________________________ Good Grief: Diversity Demanded in Hurricane Names? "The 2003 hurricane season is here, and that means a whole new list of names such as Larry, Sam and Wanda ready to make tropical-storm history. Although Spanish and French names are included in this year's lineup, among them Juan and Claudette, which struck Texas last week, popular African American names, like Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn, are nowhere to be found. Some black lawmakers don't seem to mind, but Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) does. 'All racial groups should be represented,' said Lee." - "Open Secrets," The Hill, 7/ 23/03 _______________________________ This Week on "Always Right" With an annual budget of $46 BILLION of YOUR tax money, Dr. Wade Horn runs the human services side of the Department of Health and Human Services. A more likeable, knowledgeable and conservative guy in government you're not likely to meet. He'll be our guest on this Tuesday's "Always Right" show.
