Ted,
Interesting comment about Eastern Kingbird; while I typically don't hear
them calling at night on migration, there have been quite a few instances at
the Cornell football stadium where I've heard EAKIs calling at night during
light-provoked circulation events in early fall. Eastern Phoebe
Meena,Could it have been a Caspian Tern? I heard several adults giving
repetitive calls over my house last night, and I live about a mile from you
(in Ithaca).

Andrew,It sounds like a normal Greater Yellowlegs to me (and a great deal
more probable than a flight calling Black Rail in DE). They frequently call
on nocturnal migration with similar calls to those given in the daytime.

Jeff,
I've heard Common Tern at night once in southeastern Pennsylvania well
away from water (so clearly migrating). This was in spring, probably
May.
On the robin front, in addition to coastal movements, I've heard them
in Ithaca while circulating over the lights of the football stadium
