Tried building ghc on CentOS yesterday, got breakage as patch was not
satisfied; it also tried to build perl. I have a prefix portage (gentoo
prefix) there already; does it confuse nix when determining binary packages?

I've reinstalled with default ./configure and use unstable packages per Quick
Start. I run from /opt/portage/startprefix, so it's not detecting CentOS I
guess. How does it know to load a binary?
