I don't quite understand why, but my distribution became broken at
some random time point (I do not remember doing anything special in
the meantime). I have installed ConTeXt from scratch, but the same
problem persists:

I tried to install proTEXT with the 2007 DVD. Installation invariably failed
whether I chose ConTeXt or proTEXT at the dialog box.
After that, I downloaded the standalone Windows distribution from the
Pragma-ADE site. It downloaded and extracted OK,

had installed ConTeXt in Mac OS X previously with no problems.

I thought that I could put a conversion in the setuphead function; however, it
