not looked into my TeX Live tree recently.
Now I’ll do it, but Hans released a new version of LMTX which fixes the issue I
was reporting.

Yes, it contains LMTX. I am using TeX Live 2023 right now for a project, and it
reports "ConTeXt ver: 2023.05.05 18:36 LMTX”.
