What is Список літературі? In Ukrainian, it is Список літератури, if
 you meant this.
Thanks, I looked at Список літератури, typed Список літературі, and my
wife (she is from Ukraine) haven't catched the typo.

[NTG-context] Sans Math setup

2010-06-19 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

some months ago Vyatcheslav asked for an option with \setupmathematics to
switch between sans and serif.
Just now I need exactly this!

(It is needed in the field of math for architecture/engineering.)

Is this available meanwhile?

Steffen

in what sense? we have \mathss which will trigger the math sans alphabet
but keep in mind that this is no sansing all symbols (so you can best
look at unicode math and see what is meant for engeneering)

controlling it with setupmathematics will only happen when we hav ea
rather good overview of what different disciplines demand as i don't
want to end up with an inconsistent mess

a full sans math fonts is something different, if you have a proper font
it should work ok

Indeed… and you would have had less troubles :-)

I run your test and the lower case Greek is italic. The *script
placement on the text integral is wrong, looks like the italic
correction is either ignored or applied incorrectly.

Yes you are right, the lower case greek is italic in math mode, but I didn't
pay attention to that. My point was rather on capital letters $\Omega$,
$\Delta$, $\Pi$, \Sigma$, etc. Maybe the latter is the one which attracts
more attention when not italicized, because of the possible confusion with
 $\Sum$.

IIRC, this has always been the case with TeX; upper case Greek is
upright, the rest is italic. This is the default behaviour but you can
change it:

\setupmathematics [lcgreek=normal,ucgreek=normal]

I have also a question regarding the use of calligraphic script style,
like the font rsfs, which are contained in xits and stix: how can one use
  them?

  \cal ?

Oh, you are right… So xits fonts are really a wonderful set of fonts!

There is also an alternative upper case calligraphic alphabet, available
as ss01 feature, though I don't know how to activate it.

 Khaled

hence inverse search doesn't work. As a workaround, I renamed the draft for

It is, but the font files are not.

It should be, the fonts can be used for text as well (but no small caps
and no kerning except for Latin).
