Never. Not even a split note.
Agreed. The same should be true in MKII, I absolutely consider the
current failure of \flushfootnotes a bug, I just

Hi,
in a huge document (about 450 pages 1200 footnotes) I used
postponefootnotes/flushfootnotes.
Annoyingly this changed the page break for the entire book not only at
the affected pages ...
Searching the archive gave me a post by horaciosuarez_at_hotmail.com

If I use:
\postponefootnotes

following chapters, the text flow diferent.
Is the a way to reset \postponefootnotes? and is necesary?
thankyou in advance.

Without the footnote it was centered

Perhaps, this is not possible with ConTeXt, but this is, what I'm looking
for:
- multi-page table with horizontal lines
- footnotes, that appear at bottom of each page
I've tried with \appendtoks \flushfootnotes \to \everyshipout
or \flushfootnotes
