Re: [NTG-context] smaller size for particular style

2016-05-23 Thread Henman
When I change the middle line in Wolfgang's example at the bottom of
this message from:

a{\tt a} e{\tt e} A{\tt A}
 |
 | to the below
 v
x{\tt a} y{\tt e} z{\tt A}

I thought i should get: aa ee and AA for the given example
and: xa ye and zA for my modified
version.

But the output is exactly the same. (Using; ConTeXt TDS Runner Tool 1.31)

So what do the letters preceding the { } groups do?
Can this behavior be easily explained or a reference given to me to
understand this?

[NTG-context] ConTeXt not defending the right margin

2015-06-01 Thread henman

I am using mtxrun | ConTeXt TDS Runner Tool 1.31

In real life I get documents that have long blank lines which are a
sequence of underscore characters. I have to transcribe these into

line infringes on the right boundary.

What can I do, to get ConTeXt to maintain the boundary and display the

[NTG-context] Letterhead Usage

I have created a letterhead for correspondence, but it is too unfriendly

I would like to use it as a package, but don't know if it's possible.

The problem I see is that the command \setlayer must be done after the
\starttext command.
If it doesn't then formatting commands such as \sc will not take affect
and I believe a different font is also applied.

What would be a user friendly way to implement letterheads (made up

You have to add an empty pair of braces after each part of your
combination:

\framed[frame=off,topframe=on,leftframe=on,rulethickness=2pt,width=6cm,

[NTG-context] Problem with Standalone

2014-01-14 Thread Henman

I am trying to load the standalone but have ran into a problem.

Platform:  cygwin on Windows XP

Here is what I did to try to get it all loaded and setup:

#1 rsync -av rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals/setup/first-setup.sh .
   sh ./first-setup.sh  || exit 3

The following files are loaded:
  receiving incremental file list
bin/
bin/cygiconv-2.dll
bin/cygwin1.dll
bin/kpathsea620.dll
bin/lua52.dll
bin/luatex.dll
bin/mtx-update.lua
bin/mtxrun.dll
bin/mtxrun.exe
bin/mtxrun.lua
bin/rsync.exe
bin/texlua.exe

When you want to use context, you need to initialize the tree by typing:

. /opt/context/tex/setuptex

NOTE: there is no /opt/context/!! It doesn't get loaded.

Any ideas of what is wrong? Any work around to get the proper tex directory
contents?
