When I change the middle line in Wolfgang's example at the bottom of this message from: a{\tt a} e{\tt e} A{\tt A} | | to the below v x{\tt a} y{\tt e} z{\tt A} I thought i should get: aa ee and AA for the given example and: xa ye and zA for my modified version. But the output is exactly the same. (Using; ConTeXt TDS Runner Tool 1.31) So what do the letters preceding the { } groups do? Can this behavior be easily explained or a reference given to me to understand this? [NTG-context] Enumerations
I am using the 'repeat' directive to cause itemizations to display upper level numbers as well as lower ones, but, sometimes I want to put it on hold and just display a simple alpha enumeration For example at the third level. [NTG-context] ConTeXt not defending the right margin
I am using mtxrun | ConTeXt TDS Runner Tool 1.31 In real life I get documents that have long blank lines which are a sequence of underscore characters. I have to transcribe these into ConTeXt file. But when compiled into a pdf file the long resulting rule line infringes on the right boundary. What can I do, to get ConTeXt to maintain the boundary and display the lines as intended? Thanks. In the below example, used with the latest standalone ConTeXt version, I can only get \hskip to work when the parameter is 1 dimension unit. e.g. 1em or 1cm for example. [NTG-context] Mark off boxes
I am trying to create a form which will use check boxes in it. I tried to use the \bigsquare character for the check box and put in in an itemize list. The \bigsquare character, however does not display however in the itemized list, but will display by itself. What do you normally do for check boxes? [NTG-context] Right Margin Being ignored bug?
The following minimal example demonstrate how a series of underscores in not handled right with regards to right margins. I realize there are a few rules command and I plan to use them in the future but for now I am just trying to port old forms into ConText and have them be usable. [NTG-context] Letterhead Usage
I have created a letterhead for correspondence, but it is too unfriendly to have to include it in every time. I would like to use it as a package, but don't know if it's possible. The problem I see is that the command \setlayer must be done after the \starttext command. If it doesn't then formatting commands such as \sc will not take affect and I believe a different font is also applied. What would be a user friendly way to implement letterheads (made up using the layers functionality of context? I now I could use a table to do this but I should also be able to do this with \framed and \startcombination[ cos * rows ]] But no matter what order I give to [ n x c ] the result is always a vertical split and not a horizontal one. [NTG-context] Problem with Standalone
I am trying to load the standalone but have ran into a problem. Platform: cygwin on Windows XP Here is what I did to try to get it all loaded and setup: #1 rsync -av rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals/setup/first-setup.sh . sh ./first-setup.sh || exit 3 The following files are loaded: receiving incremental file list bin/ bin/cygiconv-2.dll bin/cygwin1.dll bin/kpathsea620.dll bin/lua52.dll bin/luatex.dll bin/mtx-update.lua bin/mtxrun.dll bin/mtxrun.exe bin/mtxrun.lua bin/rsync.exe bin/texlua.exe When you want to use context, you need to initialize the tree by typing: . /opt/context/tex/setuptex NOTE: there is no /opt/context/!! It doesn't get loaded. Any ideas of what is wrong? Any work around to get the proper tex directory contents?
