Ntop can be installed to keep the data in a MySQL database (although I
could not try it, I could not configure Perl MySQL library on the
machine I am using fo rtest).

I have decided to try the MS Access database support first. When I try to
run "startClient" I get the error "Exception in thread "main"

selections placed so far apart on the screen is just ghastly. Seeing as
almost every operation involves selecting something off the blue bar and
then a link in the left frame, it makes it a real pain to have these so far
apart.

It could be a solution too. I am considering that as a short term way
of doing it. The database should give you a better granularity in long
term.
