Hi all,
I'm running ntop (2.0.b1) on my network but I'm having a bit of a problem. It seems
that the persistence is not working for me. I am running ntop as follows:
ntop -r 60 -i eth1 -S1 -P /usr/share/ntop/ -w 8080 -m x.x.x.x/24,172.16.0.0/16 -d
However, when restarting ntop, all
Basically, I have three ethernet interfaces (on spanned switch ports) on
this linux box, all going to seperate segments...I start them as follows:
ntop -i eth1 -d -w 3000
ntop -i eth2 -d -w 8080
ntop -i eth3 -d -w 8008
with my browser, I am able to access the ntop statistics for each segment

Title: NTOP 2.0 Dies After 15 Packets
I've tried NTOP 2.0 (07-24 build) on both Solaris 7 x86 and RH Linux 7.1 with the same results. After ~ 15 packets, which take about 2 minutes to collect, NTOP stops seeing traffic and CPU utilization hits almost 100%. Libpcap is current. Tried

I've

periods of time, 10 to 30 seconds depending on the machine configuration, then

Hi all,
I'm back from a short vacation. Due to the virus problems reported last
week, I decided to 'close' the mailing list. Namely only those who
subscribed to the mailing list are allowed to post. This allows to
filter messages coming from infected people that send random messages.

Hi there,
I'd like to run ntop 24/7 - if I reboot my system I want it to go on with
the same logfile and just append the data, so that I can measure for
example the usage for a whole month... if ntop crashes for some
reason and I've to restart ntop - same should happen. any suggestions?
Thanks
