[Ntop] Why does ntop create so many PIDs?

I am running OpenBSD 3.0. ntop 2.0 When I do a: ps -aux | grep ntop , I see easily 60 PIDs running and the main one that started initally. Interesting thing is they are all like this : root 27248 0.0 0.0 0 0 ?? Z - 0:00.00 (ntop) Any ideas please. Here is muy command line to
